PSR/RPS Canada - Ontario Chapter, Education

PSR/RPS Ontario supports education for service users, families and practitioners in Ontario through several means:

Supporting formal education: Ontario has two well known course based programs in PSR education. Mohawk College in Hamilton offers a distance education based modular program and in the GTA, Humber College offers a classroom based program of study. PSR/RPS Ontario supports these programs through its bursary program, through informing the public about these educational opportunities and through its membership by participating in these courses as students and faculty.
Through the organization and delivery of Educational events and conferences we engage our communities in an ongoing dialogue about Best Practices in PSR.
As part of PSR/RPS Canada we encourage our members and other practitioners to stand up for best practices by becoming Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners. Through the process of examination and renewal of the credential, CPRPs are engaged in continuing education in PSR.
